School Supplies Drive
It's that time of year again!
School supplies are one of those unexpected necessities. Folks who have very limited income find outfitting their kids for school to be an incredible financial burden.
The first day of school is always a little intimidating. Imagine how much more frightening - maybe even embarrassing - it must be to arrive at school with none of the new things everyone else has.
What we try to provide for these students are the basics: crayons, markers, folders, pencils and so forth. There'll be lists of needed supplies at church next Sunday.
$$ Donations are also appreciated - we're happy to do your shopping for you.
On August 15th we'll take the supplies to the Administration Building. The campuses will retrieve them there, and they take care of distribution. They know better than anyone else who is most in need.
It's a great, hands-on way to care for the youngest members of our community.
We'll invite all the churches to participate - but it's up to us to lead this ministry.
Start getting those supplies in!
