School Supplies Drive
It's that time again! It's time to gather supplies for the annual School Supplies Drive.
We have just a few weeks - so let's get started now. We need to have all supplies gathered by Sunday, August 19th.
We'll need a team of helpers the week of the 19th who can organize the supplies into individual packets.
Paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, markers, glue, kleenex, folders and spirals - let's start collecting those things the kiddos need. (As always, if you wish to make a $$ contribution, we'll be happy to shop for you.)
Every year I hear from the principals, grateful that we do this project. They tell me the look on the child's face who arrives with no supplies - and then is handed a packet from us, all his/her own - is priceless. This is an important community event, one we share with First Baptist, and I'm so glad we do it.
