Our Family Stretches Wide
When Mike Watts called last night to let me know that Verdon had been moved to Hereford Care Center, it reminded me of a reality that is true for many of us: we have reached the age when we are caring for our parents.
It's not an uncommon scenario, but still I think it catches us by surprise when this day arrives.
As family to one another, I encourage you to offer support to those you know who now have added to their responsibilities the daily care and concern of their aging parents.
A note or a card would be appreciated as well:
Verdon Watts is at Hereford Care Center
Estelle Ware is confined to her home
Shirley Easterwood's aunt and uncle - the Shrecks, now live in The Cottages
And Lois Jones' mother, Hazel Adams, is at Kings Manor
Please let me know if I've inadvertently left someone off this list. As we walk side by side with one another, I think it's good for us to know how heavy the load can be, and how we might offer to lend a hand.
