That's Amore!

"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore!" Our Spaghetti Lunch is this Sunday and I'm so excited about those meatballs! If you want to help make them, there's a group gathering at the church at 5 pm Saturday, and the word in the pew is that they do more fun than work at those gatherings. Bring a dessert Sunday and enjoy a little pasta!

This Wednesday begins the "Better Living for Texans" classes at the Neta Lea Building. The same class will be offered at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., so choose one or the other to attend. Several of us will be at each to offer support to the participants. I think these are going to be really wonderful classes, and we're so grateful to Dawn Watson for working with us to offer them. I hope you've seen the articles in The Hereford Brand about them, and the good mention that was given to our church.

Book Group Assignment! Read through page 132 for next week's discussion (3/31). The book is Same Kind of Different as Me and there are still copies available and still time to join the discussion! We meet Tuesdays at 7 pm.

This week in Forum and Worship we conclude our study of the lesser known Epistles with a look at Jude. This is a really unusual letter, but one that has a message for us to hear. I encourage you to read the letter (it'll take you just a few minutes), and be ready to discuss it in Forum this Sunday at 9:30.

With the conclusion of this series we'll find ourselves in the middle of Holy Week. Palm Sunday worship will be Sunday, April 5, and Easter will be Sunday, April 12. We have two traditions on Easter Sunday that you need to know about. We have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children during Forum at 9:30; and all of us bring fresh flowers to decorate a cross in the foyer (or on the lawn, weather permitting). If you want to contribute candy for the Easter Eggs, please see Lajean.

I hope you have a great week. As we work our way toward Sunday, may the Jude Benediction strengthen you:
Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling,
And to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,
To the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Be glory, majesty, power and authority
Before all time, now, and forever. Amen.

Tracy
