Walking Toward Easter
A reminder that we're having the Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 9:30 Sunday Morning. If you can help hide eggs, please arrive around 9 a.m. Jackie has planned several breakfast goodies for us to eat - thanks Jackie! I hope you'll come for this fun time of fellowship.
Remember that it is our tradition to put fresh flowers on the cross at Easter. Bring some from your garden if they're ready to share. It's a beautiful way to celebrate the resurrection.
There will be Easter lilies at the church Sunday to celebrate the day. Please feel free to take one to someone who might enjoy receiving it after worship.
The book group will complete its discussion of Same Kind of Different as Me this Wednesday. Our next book will be Eat, Pray, Love. If you've wanted to try book group, now would be a great time. We meet Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
Forum changes topics on Sunday, April 19th. We'll spend a few weeks learning "Canonization of the Bible," how the Books of the Bible were chosen and compiled into the Bible we know and love. It's an interesting discussion which is sure to be full of surprises! Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday the 19th.
Bob Gauthreaux joined me in serving communion at Hereford Care Center today. We will serve again on Wednesday, May 6th. If you can join us at 10 a.m., we'd love to have you. It's a wonderful blessing!
I've been looking ahead to our summer calendar, and there are lots of wonderful events up ahead. I hope some of you are giving thought to going on the mission trip to Enid. There'll be big and little jobs to be done as we help Richard's Habitat for Humanity and his church. I hear painting is in our future! Come work with us. I promise you, you'll walk away from that week changed.
I'm walking toward Easter with great anticipation. I hope you are, too,
Tracy
