Post-Easter Post

We had a great time on Easter Sunday! Thanks to everyone who made the activities of the day such fun. The cross flower received lots of wonderful remarks from the community, and the kids had super fun gathering eggs. Check out the Flickr feed in the left column for more Easter day photos.

How did we get the Bible we use today? Which books were included and which were not? This Sunday in Forum we begin a look at the process of canonization. The history of our Bible is an intriguing story that involves, history, archaeology, and personalities. I hope you'll join us at 9:30 this Sunday.

The book group begins a new book on Tuesday, April 21st. The book jacket describes this book as "A meditation on love in its many forms - love of food, language, humanity, and God." Eat, Pray, Love is by Elizabeth Gilbert, and books will be available Sunday for $9. Readers, please go through page 55 for next week.

Here's a couple of dates to add to your calendar: Our next time to serve communion at the Hereford Nursing Care will be Wednesday, May 6th, at 10 a.m.
Our children that have been participating with the children of First Baptist Church will share their musical on Wednesday evening, May 20th, at FBC.

In worship Sunday we will share the story of a disciple named Thomas. You can find his story in John 20.

I'll see you Sunday,
Tracy
