Thankful for Rain!
Hasn't the rain been nice the last few evenings? Let's continue to pray for those gentle evening showers - they're exactly what we need.
Our series of sermons on David concludes this Sunday with "Who Am I in Community?" We will look at all the characters that surrounded David and made him who he was, giving special attention to his friend Jonathan.
This Wednesday at 10 a.m. (June 3) is our next opportunity to share communion at the nursing home next door. I promise you'll receive a blessing if you join me there. If you can carve 30-45 minutes out of your morning this Wednesday, meet me at the church at 9:45!
Our for-sure mission trip participants at this point are Merle, Tracy, Anna & Aaron. Others are still considering joining us, and I hope you do, too! First Baptist Church will be going with us to Enid to paint and do minor work for Habitat for Humanity. If you can't go, please consider making a financial contribution. We plan to give a donation to Enid Habitat when we arrive.
I will be out of the pulpit on June 14th to be the preacher at this year's Youth Camp in Sherman,TX. This is part of a long-standing commitment we have with our camping group. I'll be back preaching at FOB on the 21st just in time to get in the van with our mission trip group!
One last word on the mission trip: I'll be posting daily updates on our progress and photos from our work, much like I did last year. I encourage you to check in daily so you can see all that we are doing.
I hope to see you Sunday,
Tracy
