Wednesday Morning
The sound of the rain is glorious, isn't it? How thankful we all are.
Joe Henry did well with his back surgery on Monday and continues to improve. They are moving him today (Wednesday) to Northwest Rehab Hospital for a few days until his strength returns.
The White Elephant Sale is this Saturday! We need lots of folks to be on hand to help, so if you can, come up to the church parking lot. We'll begin at 8 a.m. and go until people stop buying. Waldo has a trailer full of furniture that he'll be bringing - some really interesting stuff from Pakistan. There's still time to donate items! Give me a call and I'll open the church for you anytime between now and Saturday morning.
This week's sermon is the end of Proverbs 31, the passage often called "the woman of worth." There's a few other suggestions waiting in the box for me - I can't wait to get to them. We'll keep this series of Congregation Choice Sermons going through August, so if there's a text you want to hear preached, don't forget to submit it soon!
