I am so excited that Jeanie Miley is coming in just one month! Jeanie is a gifted writer, columnist, and retreat leader. She has a wonderful way of connecting people to God, to themselves, and to each other. She sees how God works in the world, and how God can work through the inevitable difficulties that life can bring.

Jeanie will be a blessing for us, one that you DO NOT want to miss! Here's the schedule:

Thursday, October 1, 7 p.m. - On this evening Jeanie will give a presentation called "Practical Spirituality for Everyday Christians." We want everyone in the community to be invited to this event! Flyers are available at church for you to take to area businesses and display. Make phone calls! Invite your friends! This will be a wonderful blessing. Childcare will be provided. Contact Merle if you can make some cookies for us to serve following the talk.

Friday, October 2 - Saturday, October 3 - On these two days Jeanie will go further indepth on the material she presented on Thursday. We're calling this an "in-church retreat." While designed mostly for our congregation, if others want to join us they are certainly welcome.

Friday, 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. - A meal will be served beginning at 6, followed by the first session of our retreat.

Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon - Breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30 and the final session will happen after that. We will conclude by noon.

Clear these three days on your calendar and begin inviting your friends. This will be a weekend you won't want to miss!
