Update on Wendel
Merle called Thursday morning to say that Wendel is "critical but stable." The doctors have him on a ventilator to make it easier to breathe with his broken ribs, and will likely leave him on it for several more days. He is also heavily sedated. Merle and Rhonda made a quick trip to Hereford today to get clothes and were heading back to Lubbock this afternoon. They appreciate all the prayers and good wishes, and are hopeful that Wendel just needs time to heal so he can be back to his ornery self.
