Next Book!
The next book that will be discussed on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. is The Sweet By and By by Todd Johnson. Centered around a nursing home, this is the story of five women and how their lives intertwine with one another. Copies will be available Sunday for $10!
Thanks again to everyone who contributed time, goodies, expertise, and energy to our 20th Anniversary celebration. It was a wonderful weekend of activities and laughter, as we shared memories of the past 20 years. I can't thank you enough for all the joy and love your efforts brought to our congregation.
Sunday's sermon will come from John 21, the last time Jesus appeared to his disciples. In that moment, he asked Peter three times, "Do you love me?" How would you respond the first time? The second? How about the third? It's that third time that seems to really get to Peter the most; it's as if Jesus can see right through all his pretending straight to his heart.
How would you answer Jesus the third time?
