Thursday News
First, an update on Gay Frost, Jimmy's sister. She has been moved out of ICU and into a regular room at BSA. She's doing well and hopes to go home soon. A complication with her medications caused quite a scare, but everyone is relieved that nothing more serious has happened. Continue to pray for Jimmy and his sister and all the family.
Joyce Blasingame was rushed to BSA ICU yesterday morning with difficulty breathing. She was doing much better when Tommy called Roy last night, even able to be eating something. Hopefully after a few more tests they'll be able to pinpoint her difficulty. Please keep Tommy and Joyce in your prayers.
I had a great meeting yesterday with Jennifer Streun at FBC as we began to put together plans for Vacation Bible School. We are so grateful to be able to share with their church in this important community ministry. We've changed the dates that were previously advertised: VBS will be Sunday - Thursday, July 18-22, in the evenings. We'll need lots of help, particularly with the Hospitality Room, Registration, and Teachers! Sign-Up this Sunday or by giving me a call.

BOOK READERS! We'll conclude our discussion of Lost and Found next Tuesday, June 22. On that day we'll pass out our next book, Time is a River by Mary Alice Monroe. You can read more about it here. Copies will be available for $4. Our plan is to distribute the book, read it all the way through, and get together 2 weeks later to discuss it. Get yours now!
Sunday's sermon will be about the Fruit of the Spirit. Do you remember what they are? Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness,Gentleness, and Self-Control. Is there one that you resonate with more? One that you struggle with more? Let's talk about it this Sunday in worship.
I'll see you there!
