Thankful Thursday
I hope those who are able are making plans to attend Edna Johnson's funeral today at 2 pm at Wesley UMC. Edna was Anna Solomon's mother who passed away on Tuesday. It is good for us to give thanks for her life, and to offer our support and love to Anna and Mike and all their family.
Speaking of being thankful, I got to hug Lajean yesterday at her HOME! She's so happy to have recovered to the point that she is able to be in her own house and in her own bed. She will still receive home health and therapy for a time, but she is recovering slowly and steadily. For a reminder, her address and phone are:
Lajean Henry

I'm thankful for Brandi, Connie, Kim and all those who helped to make our Sunday School party for our youngest members a GREAT SUCCESS last week! We had lots of young friends running around and learning about God. Have you offered to help Brandi in some way? There's always lots to do when we are teaching our young ones.
Our study in Forum, "A Travel Guide to the Christian Faith," is going really well and will continue this Sunday. We are reminding ourselves of some of the important beliefs of our faith and the source of why we do many of the things we do. Join us at 9:30 am this Sunday; I promise you'll learn something!
Our Sermon Series on The Sermon on the Mount continues this Sunday with Matthew 5: 38-48. Jesus challenges us to live a completely different life than everyone else lives, which often means loving in radical, brave ways. This week? "Love Your Enemies."
I find myself thankful for so many things, but most of all, I am thankful for a church that is driven by its passion to serve Christ completely. As we walk toward Sunday, I pray you will intentionally look for a way to be Christ to someone else.
Always Thankful to be your Pastor,
Tracy
