Something on Saturday
It's good to be home from a week of learning. My brain is full, ready to spill out all over you!
Jimmy's sister, Gay Frost, continues to decline in her health. Her family has made the decision to place her in Hospice care today. Please be in prayer for Jimmy, Marilyn, and all their family.
I received a text from Jana on Pat's update: "She's doing just great, still weak but working on it. Thank you for continued prayers!"
The next several Sundays in Forum will be a series of "Let's Talk About . . .". The topics will be important church ideas and beliefs that we all need to know. There'll be handouts and lots of discussion, so bring your opinions and brains and we'll share together. Tomorrow: Let's Talk About Christology.
Here are some questions we will discuss tomorrow:
1. Who Is Jesus to You?
2. Who is Jesus to your Church?
3. How does your understanding of who Jesus is influence your daily living?
Each week I'll have a handout for you to prepare for the next week. The information will be on the blog as well.
Tomorrow's sermon continues our series on First Peter with 1 Peter 2: 19-25: "The Suffering Savior". When we are suffering we can trust that Jesus understands because he suffered as well.
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pity, love, and power.
See you in the morning,
Tracy
